What to Do and What not to Do

Queensland Advocacy Inc has prepared a book “What to Do and What not to Do” to inform and guide a person with an intellectual disability and his or her support network through the criminal justice process in Queensland. It starts from the first contact with Police to the first day at Court. The book is funded by the Legal Aid Queensland Community Legal Education Collaboration Fund and is produced by Queensland Advocacy Inc in collaboration with the Endeavour Foundation.

TASC, through our Disability Law Project, provides legal advice and assistance to persons with impaired capacity who are or might be charged with a criminal offence. If you would like to attend at our office at 223 Hume Street we have the QAI book available free of cost. We can also provide information about our legal and advocacy services through the Disability Law Project.
